Dedicated to excellence in orthopaedics
Mark is a Queensland-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on shoulder and upper limb surgery. His practice includes the management of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions. After obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS), Mark completed two additional post-fellowship training programs in upper limb surgery, gaining advanced experience across shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, tendon, nerve and microvascular procedures.
In 2018, Mark established Balance Orthopaedics on the Sunshine Coast. His approach integrates mechanical and physiological principles to provide careful, individualised care. Clear communication and patient-centred care remain central to his practice.
2025 saw the addition of the Balance Fracture Clinic in Noosa to improve access to timely assessment and management of acute injuries & fractures.
With a background in elite sport, Mark understands the demands of injury, recovery and rehabilitation, including the return to physical activity. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys an active lifestyle on the Sunshine Coast with his wife and four children, including hiking, mountain biking and surfing.

This approach has been shaped by my experiences in Australia, North America, and Europe, where I have had the privilege of working alongside internationally renowned orthopaedic surgeons. I prioritise a comprehensive understanding of every patient’s life, ensuring that I consider not only their anatomy and clinical issues but also their individual concerns, personality, and lifestyle. Registered Nurse / Surgical Assistant

Balance Orthopaedics Team
Irene plays an essential role on the Balance Orthopaedics team, supporting both clinic and theatre operations. Irene began her career as a scrub nurse in the Philippines before moving to Sydney in 2015. She further honed her skills at a leading orthopaedic hospital in Newcastle, specialising in advanced procedures, including robotic spine surgeries and joint replacements. In 2022, Irene relocated to Noosa to achieve a better work-life balance and completed her Master of Clinical Nursing in Perioperative, followed by a Diploma in Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assisting in 2023.
Irene is currently enrolled in the Master of Nurse Practitioner program, with the goal of expanding her knowledge and skills in patient management, especially in preoperative and postoperative care.
Irene works alongside Dr. Mark Robinson, both in his clinic and in surgery, as she continues to deepen her expertise in orthopaedic care.
Outside of her professional life, Irene enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the beach and cherishes the sunsets by the Noosa River.

Luise is an integral part of our orthopaedic practice team on the Sunshine Coast. Luise joined Balance Orthopaedics as Practice Manager in 2020. A long term Noosa local, she brings with her extensive experience in medical administration, including roles in Ear, Nose, and Throat, Audiology, Paediatric Respiratory, and Sleep Medicine. She holds a double Diploma in Practice Management and Business Administration and is a member of Practice Managers Australia.
Luise is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient service and building strong, nurturing client relationships. She takes pride in helping patients navigate their medical experiences and thrives in the high-intensity environment of our practice, appreciating the diversity and unpredictability each day brings
In her role as Practice Manager, Luise oversees daily operations, supports our patients, and collaborates closely with Dr. Robinson and interdisciplinary staff. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active with her daughter, beach outings, yoga, travelling through Southeast Asia, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Natasha joined Balance Orthopaedics in 2024, bringing over 15 years of experience in business administration, marketing, and communications. Originally from Banff, Canada, she has called the Sunshine Coast home for more than 10 years and is dedicated to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice.
Natasha holds a Bachelor of Communication in Information Design and a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Accountancy, combining creative problem-solving with strong business expertise. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, travelling to Canada, painting, and outdoor activities including running, skiing, and hiking.

Originally from Melbourne, Emma has called Queensland home for the past 12 years. She is passionate about helping people and thrives in busy, fast-paced environments.
Outside of work, she enjoys family time, camping, cooking, staying active, and supporting the Brisbane Broncos.
